　　(framed from the point of view of the bar – we see two customers leaning up against the bar, facing camera)

　　A: (trying to attract barman’s attention) Excuse me!

　　B: (exchanges a sympathetic look with A)

　　A: Excuse me!...No...

　　B: Always busy in here on a Friday night!

　　A: (to barman) Sorry...hello! (shouts) Could I just have a...

　　B: Patience and persistence!

　　A: Yes! Ok...ahh, finally (looks at B, smiles). Ok, I’d like...erm...a beer please.

　　B: (realising, rolls eyes)

　　A: What kind? Of beer? Oh. Erm, a lager, please. Yes, that one’s fine. Sorry? A what? A half or a pint? Oh. (to B) How big is a pint?

　　B: (gestures with hands, size of a pint)

　　A: Oh. Ok. Yes. A pint.

　　B: Great. Ok, I’d like...

　　A: Oh, sorry. No. Two pints. Of lager. Please.

　　B: (sighs) Ok...can I have...

　　A: And a packet of crisps. Please. (to B) Sorry. (to barman) What flavour? Oh, I’m not sure. (turns round and shouts) What flavour? (turns back) Cheese and onion.

　　B: Ok. I’ll have...

　　A: Oh sorry. And a glass of wine please. Erm, red. Yes. That’s all. (laughing) I’m sure. How much? (starts to look for wallet) Erm, hang on. I’m sure it’s here somewhere! Erm, well here’s five, and (slowly counts change), here’s another six.

　　B: (with note already in hand) A pint of bitter and two halves of lager please. Cheers. Keep the change. (to A) That’s how to do it!
